Nqobizitha Mlilo, founder of Nafuna TV has been been named one of the 20 innovative and entrepreneurial web adopters from across sub-Saharan Africa and becomes a semi-finalists for the Google’s Africa Connected prize. Nqobizitha, through Nafuna TV, has been selected for using YouTube to provide his audience with animation and HD video content. According to the Google brief on him, he’s also used Google Search to teach himself the trade.
Nqobizitha, or Enqore as he’s popularly known, is building a business providing animation and high quality video production. You can visit their YouTube channel here where they have about 35 videos consisting music videos, arts festival footage, animated productions, animation tutorials, interviews with arts people and other videos. Nafuna TV’s content has stood out locally due especially to its high quality productions.
The Google Africa Connected prize will eventually be given to five winners who will each get $25,000 and expert assistance from Google in the use of it’s tools for their business. The winners will be announced at an event in Nairobi Kenya on the 1st of April.
