Ok so who is going to come out with the un-official(or official) Econet-Zero app so people don’t need to browse half the internet to find out which sites they can visit?

Hey how about an Econet App that offers all their services, am I the first person to think of this?

Econet my fee is a small 0.1% of your revenue…

Great points. Fat chance of getting that 0.1% revenue

Come on this is Econet we’re talking about they are innovative and fair…

It would be a great app though consolidating all their services in one place to truley benefit the customer.

I think its called the BOOKMARKS function? Found in even the most archaic browser.
An app for ALL their services sound good though – especially considering that last week they put out a glossy A3 poster doing exactly that; listing all of their services and shortcodes. It was in EVERY COPY of the Thursday Herald – developing an app I’m sure could have cost a fraction of that.

Bookmarks could be an option @disqus_Jpt1QQr9DR:disqus if you’ve already visited the sites. What about everyone who is “Discovering” these resources? I just feel it would be better utilised if they where all listed/categoriesed on some kind of official platform. As far as I can see the Econet web site doesn’t even give you this information.

A search on http://www.econet.co.zw yields no results for Econet Zero, there is no domain pointing to a sub site neither http://www.econetzero.co.zw or http://zero.econet.co.zw are active.

If they had their own official app I would guess that Econet Zero would be a menu item with “Quick Links” to the various sites availaible.

Who knows all this may be in the pipeline but I still feel they are treating some of these things as after thoughts rather that part of the initial solution.

kkkkkk… man, that 0.1% is no small amount! But I like your idea…

At risk of sounding ungrateful, I wish they had also added Khan Academy to that list. This is fantastic news though! I hope Econet won’t pull back if there’s a spike in data usage from all the videos people may begin to watch.
