In July this year we announced that a Bulawayo based startup, saisai Wireless, had been selected to be one of 40 African startup teams pitching at this year’s DEMO Africa tech talent showcase.
saisai Wireless is working on the provision of free public WiFi access by utilising idle bandwidth from WiFi routers and hotspots with a revenue model premised on targeted advertising. The startup is based at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) where all the members are doing their undergraduate studies.
While the team has come under the spotlight through team cofounder Takunda Chingonzo’s famous interview with Barack Obama Washington USA and of course the DEMO Africa selection, most people still don’t know much about the Bulawayo team or their previous and current work with the startup Neolab Technology.
We managed to catch up with two members of saisai Wireless, Christopher Manzero and Jabulani Mpofu, who granted this quick interview where they talked briefly about the work they are involved in and the impact they want to have in the community.

Why is the interview not downloadable on soundcloud?
