UPDATE: The regulations are still in the pipeline towards being officially gazetted, according to Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ). The promulgation process is currently underway, following the Authority’s submission of these regulations to the Minister of of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Mr. Joram Gumbo. There will be no legal void in the interim as the CAAZ will on Friday May 13 release an Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) containing both industry input and the regulations. The AIC will be “as good as law,” the Authority said, and fully enforceable. The AIC will only fall on the side when the promulgation process is concluded with Parliament passing current drafts into law.
