Powertel doubles the data allocation on its packages as part of a festive season promo

‘Tis the season to be jolly so a number of service providers are going out of their way to extend some sort of holiday season bonus to their clients.

The latest to do that is local internet access provider Powertel which recently doubled the data allowance for its subscribers using its prepaid packages.

The cheapest package that qualifies for this promotion is the $5 bundle which will come with 4GB instead of the previous 2GB allocation. The same double data promo applies for the $35, $60 and $89 packages that will have 30 GB, 60 GB and 100 GB respectively.The window periods for the data won’t be extended, though.

As much as this is a reward for loyal clients Powertel appears to be targeting new subscribers with this promo. The motivation won’t really matter to users who want cheaper internet over the holidays.
