The Apple founder, Steve Jobs, has died. He was 56.
Jobs passed away on 5 October 2011 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
The visionary leader defined a lot of aspects in the computing industry that we know today. Under his leadership Apple took the game to a whole different level. That’s true for PCs, music devices, smartphones, tablets and the animation industry. Jobs stepped down as Apple CEO on August 24 this year due to the illness.

RIP in peace, you really managed to change the world and inspired a lot by your vision and innovativeness
Well done TechZim for this posthumous piece on Steve Jobs I was hoping you would have something on the man and sure enough you did. I went to university in the USA in 1989 and Steve Jobs was an icon who rivalled any rock star back then. How many of us remember the macintosh? It was synonymous with Steve Jobs, a man with an insatiable appetite for what he did. And did he do it ever so well. He inspired countless products and made Apple the only innovator in IT that it is today. The man was eccentric but blessed with an appetite for perfectionism. All the iconic Apple products we know today – the macintosh, IPOD, IPAD, LaserPrinters have Steve Jobs written all over them. Here’s one individual who was a star in his own right. May he rest in peace.
The good leave too soon! Nxa!
