Appfrica, the organisers of the Apps4Africa challenge announced yesterday the list of 30 startups that have made into the funding and mentorship competition’s finals. Out of the 30, the top 3 will be selected for the finals prize of $10,000 each, ongoing mentorship from Appfrica and according to the announcement, opportunities for further funding. The winners will be announced in the coming weeks.
The finalists comprise of teams from; Nigeria (6 teams), Zambia (4), Uganda (4), Ghana (4), Zimbabwe (3), South Africa (2), Senegal (1), CAR (1), Cameroon (1), Rwanda (1), Benin (1), Cote d’Ivoire (1) and Tanzania (1).
