Announcing #GetSocial 2014

On 3 & 4 April 2014, #GetSocial Zimbabwe will be held at the Meikles Hotel in Harare.  We’ve been working to have a social media marketing event for a very long time now. We want to do it right; to deliver real value through useful content, engaging discussion and actionable outcomes especially for the participants. We (Techzim and our partners, SocialMe) are excited to reveal a new event called #GetSocial to be held on 4 April 2014.

The event is being held with the single minded objective of equipping marketers and executives with the knowledge and practical competencies required to steer social media efforts in the right direction.

Social media has become the most significant marketing channel that brands can leverage on to drive business forward. With at least 1.2 million Zimbabweans connecting to Facebook and even more using their newly acquired WhatsApp platform, social media is opening up new possibilities where engagement and brand awareness is concerned.

Whilst the data and business sense behind “going social” has been recognized globally and by savvy local marketers, the bulk of Zimbabwean brands and executives are not maximizing this unprecedented opportunity. With this in mind, #GetSocial has brought together a great ensemble of presenters & panelists who will ensure that participants #GetSocial.

The event is being held over a two day period as follows:

  • Thursday 3 April 2014: #GetSocial for Executives
  • Friday 4 April 2014: #GetSocial for PR & Marketing Practitioners

Day 1 tickets cost $200 whilst Day 2 tickets are available for $125. A discount of 20% will apply to Day 2 for individuals & companies that purchase Day 1 tickets.
