Hypercube Hub to host entrepreneurship workshops with US based mentors

hypercubeLast year a handful of Zambian and Zimbabwean entrepreneurs and upcoming business leaders were selected for the Professional Fellows Program which was a five-week fellowship in the United States.

Now, as part of an exchange programme for the same fellowship, a cohort of 8 US-based entrepreneurs that are mentors for this programme will be visiting Zimbabwe and Zambia. The mentors possess skills and experience in the areas of venture capital investment, small to medium scale business growth and startup funding.

On Tuesday the 17th of February, they will be at Hypercube Hub Harare for a full day of workshops on entrepreneurship and investment.

In a series of four workshops spread over two sessions, the entrepreneurs will be sharing knowledge on aspects such as preparing a startup for future investment, adopting cross-border approaches for startup growth and considerations for building a startup.

There will also be a panel discussion with the mentors later in the day as well as a Skype chat and Q&A with Brad Feld. Brad is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and author. He has focused on tech entrepreneurship, startups  and community building in his books and also on his blog Feld Thoughts.

According to Rinesh Desai, a fellow with the Professional Fellows Programme and one of the coordinators from Hypercube Hub, these workshops are meant to provide local entrepreneurs  and techies with an opportunity to gain insight on aspects related to startup growth and development.
