Strive Masiyiwa, one of Forbes’s 10 most powerful men in Africa

An article published by Forbes a few days ago, lists Zimbabwe’s top tech entrepreneur, Strive Masiyiwa, in the 10 Most Powerful Men In Africa list for 2015. That Masiyiwa is an influential man whose business and social impact has been far reaching both at home in Zimbabwe and on the continent is ofcourse without doubt.

The man founded and has led the Econet Wireless Group to becoming one of the most important technology infrastructure and services company on the continent. The Econet story is unique in that such business success on the continent has not traditionally been associated with local entrepreneurs but multinationals from Europe, the USA and Asia.

Other leaders on the list include Victor Ochen (Uganda) , Moustapha Ben Barka (Mali), Oscar Onyema (Nigeria), George Weah (Libera) and Simpiwe Tshabala (South Africa)

The list was compiled by Zimbabwean Forbes contributor, Farai Gundan.

I would like to thank God for giving Zimbabwe a wonderful man like Mr S Masiyiwa. I wish if you could invest in locomotives only. Also help Zesa to enable it to make consumers by power with biller codes and send the digits for recharge without visiting the vending shops. Thank you Mr Masiyiwa may the Lord God be with you and give you more innovativeness ideas for you to bit trying competitors like net one and the falling telecel wireless providers.
