Econet Media makes another bet on sports, acquires rights to live stream formula E racing on Kwesé TV

With the launch of internet TV service, Kwesé TV, expected in the next few weeks its owner Econet Media has been entering into numerous content deals.

The latest – it has secured streaming rights to FIA Formula E Championship racing, the 10-team electric racing championship.

Under the arrangement, Kwesé TV will be able to flight all Formula E sessions that include practice, qualifying and the races themselves to 20 Sub-Saharan countries that include Zimbabwe.

The rights are exclusive and also extend  to TV broadcast. Kwesé Sports will also hold on to them  for the 2017/18 seasons.

This is the latest sports content deal for Kwesé TV which has made a lot of efforts to become a major provider of sports entertainment.

Less than a fortnight ago Econet Media also announced that it acquired rights to broadcast AVIVA Premiership Rugby to Sub-Sharan African territories outside South Africa and this deal has been preceded by rights acquisitions for sports like cricket and English premier league football.

Please forgive me but without EPL this Kwese thing is destined to fail. Take uhuru for example. It has all these sports covered but receives little attention from you.

You need to get it into your heads that….

      1) it’s all about licensing and rights
      2) licensing and rights MAY BE Exclusive
      3) EPL licensing IS actually EXCLUSIVE to Super Sport for 2016-19
      4) You will have NO POSSIBILITY OF watching the EPL anytime before that, unless if they allow sub-licensing.

      Quit whining.

… you will just keep going on like broken records.

Peeps will watch this crap on ztv or other tv services on a sunday when there is nothing else to watch. But to stream? I dont know. With a TV box, you dont have that many options. With Internet, there is a lot of stuff, think naughtyamerica, brazzers, tafadzwa.com etc

1177 90826The next time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as significantly as this 1. I mean, I do know it was my choice to read, nonetheless I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear can be a bunch of whining about something which you could fix for those that werent too busy in search of attention. 133556
