WordPress, through its global initiative WordCamp, has selected Zimbabwe as one of three locations across the world to host its conferences/incubator programs.
What is WordPress?
WordPress is a FREE online tool that allows users to create and run websites, offering arguably the easiest blogging and website content management system.
What is WordCamp?
WordCamp is the conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas and get to know each other.
When do they meet?
WordCamp meetings are scheduled via meet up. Once you are a member of WordCamp Zimbabwe meetup Group you will be notified of dates and venues of each meeting.
Who should come?
The meeting is open to all. If you have any bit of interest in starting your own website or blog, this event is for you. The event will also touch on more advanced issues so those who already run websites via WordPress are invited to join too.

The Harare WordPress Meetup group is a locally-organized group that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). These events (commonly referred to as meetups) take many formats: presentations/lecture series, hackathons, social gatherings, workshops, coworking, running a WordPress help desk, contributor sprints/drives, and others.
