Ever wondered what you really get when you buy a WhatsApp or Facebook bundle? Or how long it’s meant to last? Finally, Econet has come out with a full breakdown of its data products setting the record straight to all its subscribers on what they are really buying.
Take a look at the table below taken from its website detailing ALL data products and what subscribers are really getting out of them:
We have seen customers complaining over bundles being used up way before their expiry period but at least now you know how much data you are actually getting.
It’s unfortunate that many subscribers have been made to think along the lines of how long data their data lasts instead of how much data is available to them in the given time period, a shift in understanding we guess would put an end to many disgruntled subscriber complaints.
However, such an understanding would possibly make the bundles less attractive to many of its subscribers, 90mb for a week of WhatsApp? That says it all.

Best bet is to subscribe to the Daily bundles as that grants you more value for money. Set aside $15 for the month and you get yourself 1.5 Gig worth of data or $30 for 7.5 Gig of data, if subscribing for the $0.50 and $1.00 bundle respectively. Should be a worthwhile endeavour.
Thanks for the heads up, will use this when away from wifi.
What is the fuss all about?. As long as I am getting fast and quality data I’m cool.
Now, Econet have exposed themselves and they need a good punishing from Potraz. On the advert board there its saying ” Enjoy Unlimited Whatsapp Bundles”
On the price plan chart for example its saying for 30c you get 20MB.If you ready between the lines, its either you are going to have 20MB for 24hrs, if you dot not use it within that period, it will expire, if you use more than 20MB befoer 24hrs lapse, you will be cut off.
That is not unlimited like they are claiming on those bill boards, which is equal to lying in trying to get customers. Potraz needs to step in and enforce order.
I say $50k fine per bill board, that sounds familiar and fair!!
If you have a certain amount of data valid for a certain period of time, how is that unlimited?
thats it bye bye ecombavha dzevanhu!! one fusion is waaaay better that this crap. hello ONE FUSION netone get http://onefusion.co.zw/
I would like to comment on the issue pertaining the billboards
An advert is simply an invitation to treaty….u can sue someone based on an advert.
not as an individual you cannot sue based on that, but as a regulator you can impose fines for misleading adverts
With 5$ you have more 500megabytes data, text and calls with OneFusion.
…and that is per MONTH
DO YOU know that with cell c network across the zambezi partly owned by econet you can get 1 gig data for whatsapp for 0.50 rand. WHAT do you call that we are being robbed and yet we look the other way like we are the richest people in the world. Its a shame!
