It brings together various African startups selected from a host of entries submitted months before the conference. these startups pitch their ideas to several potential investors and business partners. There’s also a selection of the most innovative ideas which receive incubation and support.
This year’s edition of the annual event (it’s the 6th edition) is set to be held in Johannesburg South Africa between the 6th and 7th of September.
Zimbabwe, which has had startups representing the country in past DEMO Africa events will be one of the stopovers for the DEMO Africa Innovation Tour along with Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Ghana, Nigeria, Egypt and South Africa.
The Innovation Tour is a mini DEMO Africa event where startups from that country will be invited to pitch to a panel of judges. Shortlisted startups at the event will then proceed to the main DEMO Africa in South Africa.
