Interesting. For those who abhor CVs……see a European cross-cultural company not only looking for a hands-on manager but asking for a CV…yeah a CV and you have to be on linkedin (it seems having a CV and being on linkedin is synonymous to me. You type in a lot of stuff about yourself upon joining linkedin)….good luck to those who submit their CVs.

      Hahaha Sagitarr
Yes we still ‘abhor’ CV’s. That doesn’t make us right however, it just makes us us. Each business must obviously have it’s own processes and we respect that

Nyahasha, it’s Denga here if you remember me! I hope you’re well. Interesting read. I have been involved in a few gigs/projects where sme’s or individuals outsource tasks around the world to those who have the skills/time/resources. I think these are great opportunities for fellow Zim brothers and sisters to independantly establish great reputations for themselves. I’m referring to the use of platforms such as Fiver, People per hour etc. Do you have any thoughts on this?

          Hi Wilfred Denga!
          Of course I remember you.
Yes I think platforms like Fiver are great resource not just for the buck that folks can earn (that’s obviously important) but primarily for them to build portfolios of real life problems they have solved. One of the questions I ask any dev in a hiring interview is for them to point me to what they have built. I am always surprised how many of them call themselves devs just because their certificate says so and yet have nothing they have attempted to build.

What projects have you been involved in? Any insights to share? I think outsourcing is an important theme to pursue because I believe Zimbos have a great and open opportunity here
