Prizes Galore…

There’s a lot to unpack in terms of winnings, so we might as well get into it…

According to Ventureburn, Global Pitch competition has a range of lucrative prizes that are awarded to selected startups.

Startups could win the Global Pitch Golden Ticket which enables the recipient to access a number of conferences: 4YFN, She Loves Tech, Bits&Pretzels, Rise Up, FinTech Talents and CODE-n.

The overall winner Global Pitch winner, along with winners from the other categories will get access to the 2018 Lisbon Investment Summit and three months access to WhatAVenture innovation platform.

On top of that, the winners will be shortlisted to the selection stage of the Menorca Millenial’s fourth deceleration programme. Menorca Millenials is a ‘community’ of companies, business leaders, and investors. Each year they select 30 global startups from hundreds of applicants and bring them to an island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea to focus on their product and gain access to some of the world’s biggest leaders in tech.

Another prize (yeah there’s quite a lot of them) is the Vienna Startup Package. This package will see the winner get co-working space in Vienna, business coaching, travel and accommodation, access to networks, as well as an introduction to the Viennese economy. This is probably more beneficial to people with global solutions so it will be surprising if Africa-based startups with Africa-centric solutions are chosen for this one.

That’s not all. Another prize is pitch training for the top 15 startups as well as a trip to Silicon Valley for the main winner.
