People are always asking me for a Udemy alternative, well Skillshare is one such alternative. The site allows you to enrol in short courses on a number of topics and categories crafted by gurus in their categories just like with Udemy.
The good news is that the first two months are free to our Techzim readers so you have two months to access the material on the site for yourself. After that it will just be $10/month for you to access the entire course repository on the site. That pricing structure is slightly different from that of Udemy and might suit the needs of some people better.
A brief explanation of Skillshare
Just like with Udemy, Skillshare is an online learning community with thousands of classes in design, business, technology and more. Anyone can join the millions of members in the community to learn cutting-edge skills, network with peers and discover new opportunities. On the other hand if you feel you have skills that you can impart and earn money you are free to join Skillshare and become a teacher but I am here to talk about those who want to join Skillshare as students.
Skillshare for students
As outlined above with Skillshare you just have to pay $10/month and get access to thousands of Skillshare classes
taught by the world’s best teachers in categories spanning design, business, technology and more. Each class has a project so you can put your new skills into practice and share your work with other community members from around the world.
The guys at Skillshare are so confident you will love their content they are offering two months free to anyone who signs up to Skillshare using our referral link. With these two months you can enrol in as many courses as you want and start learning. If you love the experience you will have to pay $10/month in month three. In the unlikely event you hate the experience you can cancel and you will not be charged anything no questions asked non of that downtown nonsense where you cannot return something that you bought literary minutes ago.
As always with such sites the course list is quite extensive with the usual stuff you would expect such as how to make your first Android App to the more mundane stuff like the steps that you have to follow to make your first batch of ice cream.
