If You Are Interested In 3D Printing You Should Attend This Workshop

A few months ago, we talked about The Maker Club. Maker Club is a dedicated space that offers children between ages 5-17 an opportunity to get to work on projects that they continuously modify. Their goal is to inspire young people (or makers as they like to call them) to move from being consumers to being creators of technology.

Now, they have partnered with Makerware to bring an Introduction to 3D printing themed workshop that will be hosted over the next few weeks. With the first one kicking off today.

What will you get to learn?

The workshop will walk people through how the technology works, 3D printing workflow, applications and opportunities in 3D printing and how content is created. As part of the project you’ll also create a  personalised 3D item that you will take with you.

Who is this course for?

According to Makerware the course is open to everyone:

Anyone curious about 3D printing. Anyone wanting to get started but not sure how. Anyone looking for opportunities to modernise their workflow.

Entrants are expected to know how to use a computer. You won’t be tasked to do anything too technical so don’t fret. Since everyone is welcome, you are probably wondering how much this will cost? Well, to attend any of the workshops you will have to part with $20. This cost will also cover all the materials necessary and the 3D project you make during the workshop.

Dates

The workshops will be conducted in 3 phases:

Tuesday mornings 17 or 24 July at 9am to 11:30am

Wednesday evenings 18 or 25 July at 5:30pm to 8pm

Saturday afternoon 21 or 28 July at 2:30 to 4pm

Registration

If you are interested in registering for the workshop you can either call 0772456067 or info@makerclub.co.zw
