Reshaad Sha has resigned from his position as CEO of Liquid Telecom South Africa, 2 years after taking the reigns. The executive is leaving the telecoms company in August to head up a new Artificial Intelligence startup BriteGaze which will launch in a few months time.
Sha is reported to have successfully overseen Liquid Telecom’s turnaround plan and oversaw the growth of digital services along with the rollout of enhanced network services for enterprises and consumer across South Africa.
Before his tenure with Liquid Telecom, Reshaad was was previously CEO of SqwidNet, the Internet of things network operator in the Dark Fibre Africa stable. He was also the Chief Strategist at Dark Fibre Africa.
BriteGaze that Sha will now turn his attention to will be a fund used to grow businesses that are committed to building capability around AI. According to Business Tech, Sha will use his telecoms expertise to “focus his target companies on solving complex challenges that the industry faces in optimising and growing their businesses”.
