Some regions are getting $1200 off in swap and top deals by Samsung for the S25 Ultra

I love Zimbabwe and I love being Zimbabwean but if I’m being honest, sometimes it feels like we lost the geographical lottery. There are humans, just as unremarkable as me who happened to be born in some countries they obviously didn’t help build that are simply enjoying the fruits of the labour of generations since buried.

The benefits they enjoy range from economic stability to having cheap McDonald’s. Today, I was reminded of this when I saw some of the deals some people are getting for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

I circled, double underlined and pointed out the statement that got me.

If that didn’t load for you, it says,

Galaxy S25 Ultra: Save up to $1,200 with a trade-in! Score up to $300 in instant Samsung Credits when you get a Galaxy S25 Ultra on Samsung.com. Plus, trade in your old phone to save up to an extra $900. Act fast, as this offer is available until March 2nd! The Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best phones money can buy, offering top-tier performance, incredible camera capabilities, and an impressive display. Don’t miss out and save big now!

Then comes the statement, “This offer is not available in your area.” Why Zimbabwe, why? Why does this always happen to you? Why do you never get the good deals.

Listen, I’m not even asking for food security and economic stability, which apparently we’re not meant to have. I would just like to be able to get the S25 Ultra for $100. Is that too much to ask?

Samsung’s recent promotion for the Galaxy S25 Ultra offers mind-boggling savings for customers in certain markets. By trading in an eligible device, customers can receive up to $900 off, and an additional $300 in Samsung Credits, totaling potential savings of $1,200.

My current phone wouldn’t be worth $900 if I traded it in. Samsung would have valued it at $300 and I would not have accepted that. I would have hit the streets and sold it for more than that. It wouldn’t be as convenient but it is what it is.

In Zimbabwe, promotional deals are like Samsung’s are uncommon, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra is priced around $1,350 here on Techzim. Which is pretty great if I do say so myself. The phone costs only $1350 here vs $1300 over there, which is good after shipping and taxes.

However, this price point makes the device a considerable investment for many consumers. The absence of substantial trade-in offers or manufacturer credits means that Zimbabwean buyers often pay the full retail price.

We are used to this at this point in Zimbabwe. It’s full retail price or nothing at all. Hopefully, we should at least be getting our own trade-in (swap and top) deals for brand new phones soon.
