The ZOL Startup Challenge the mentorship program has started really well. The first session was on business modelling, with a focus on the Lean Startup way of building a business – here’s a video that captures the concepts well. Douglas Chifetete, the mentor, did a brilliant job of helping the teams re-look at the different components of their businesses.

Upcoming mentorship meetups:
Today late afternoon, Chenjerai Katanda, last year’s winner will be sharing the story of his startup and how far he’s come, especially sharing lessons he’s learnt running a startup in Zimbabwe.

Tomorrow (Saturday), we’ll be screening Crocodile in the Yangtze at Area 46.

Next week Saturday (1 November) we’re having a Team Building exercise for the startups and mentors at Tree of Life adventures. Mentors and startups have an opportunity to interact with the teams in a less formal environment!
