What are Starlink Approved Resellers?
Authorised Resellers are companies approved by Starlink to sell its products and services within certain regions. Starlink also trusts them to provide value added services to its customers – things such as troubleshooting, complex installations, sell of additional accessories, local payment solutions.
When you buy from an authorized reseller, you then manage your account through that reseller exclusively. Starlink has over 100 certified resellers across the world.
Is it better to buy from a Reseller or directly from Starlink?
If you’re a home customer, there’s really no point in going via reseller. Best is to go direct to starlink.com and buy the kit.
However some people may require additional services such as complex installations, help choosing the best options in the wide array of what Starlink offers, immediate delivery, and other such cases.
Resellers generally don’t deal with residential consumers. They are for business customers who usually need to consider a lot of things before buying.
Is IMC an Approved Reseller?
IMC was once announced as the approved reseller by President Mnangagwa in May 2024, however reports suggest that IMC has not succeeded in securing reseller partnership with Starlink.
Can I become a Starlink Reseller?
To become an Approved Starlink Reseller, a company has to apply to Starlink itself. Generally, companies are required to have some vale that they are adding to the Starlink supply chain in terms of expertise and distribution capacity.
From what we have gathered, such companies are also supposed to have the financial capacity to buy at least 1000 Starlink kits at once.
