In March, we talked about the couple that is teaching kids about robotics and coding here in Harare and after that visit we were very impressed by what we saw. While I appreciate the costs involved… It’s a bit steep considering… There’s plenty of introductory courses online and unlimited telone is 90$… Obviously I’ll have to invest a bit of time with my kid… Problem that I have is what is the course outline… What are the kid to teacher ratio… Future prospects to future… So I can assess value… Most educators are here for the quick buck
@Flawed you might actually have a powerful point. The internet is awash with a lot of information that you can access easily.Being someone who studied economics i found the going tough that i found myself somewhere in the electronic field. With a bit of interest i hve managed to teach myself using the internet. Its a cheaper option.Take for example python coding ……if you can buy a Raspberry ,a power supply,SD card and a few things like Breadboard ,LEDS,resistors which are next to nothing it can come to less than the USD 140.But again each business has its own model of operating. There will certainly be people interested and its actually a good initiative. All the best to them…
